The song "Not to Touch the Earth" was released in 1968 by The Doors and appears on their third album, "Waiting for the Sun". The song is part of an extended live performance called "Celebration of the Lizard", which the band played several times. During the recording sessions for "Waiting for the Sun", a 17-minute studio version of the full song was attempted, and the lyrics were printed in their entirety on the album cover. However, the LP contains only a musical passage of the song.
