- It was certified twice diamond in 1998 and 1999, which means that more than 1.5 million singles were sold.
- The song was a huge success in France, with about 1.7 million singles sold. It was one of the hits of the summer of 1998.

- It was finally dethroned by the song "Belle" from the musical "Notre Dame de Paris" and is the second best selling single of 1998, after this one.
- The lyrics were written by the singer of the group, Martial Tricoche. The music was composed by the two other members of Manau, Cédric Soubiron and Hervé Lardic, based on the traditional Breton song "Tri Martolod" ("Three sailors").
- The song, which lasts 4 minutes and 47 seconds, tells the epic, fictional story of a Celtic warrior from the fictional Dana tribe who fought in Brittany against a horde of Cimmerians.
- The introduction and chorus of the song are based on a traditional Breton song, "Tri Martolod", in the arrangement of singer and harpist Alan Stivell.
