- Pixies is an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The band members included Black Francis, Joey Santiago, Kim Deal and David Lovering (drums).
- Pixies acrimoniously disbanded in 1993 but reformed in 2004.
- Kim Shattuck was hired as touring bassist in 2013, replaced later that year by Paz Lenchantin.
- Paz Lenchantin became a permanent member of Pixies in 2016.
