The protagonist is wondering where Axl Rose, from Guns N' Roses, has gone. Two different people are introduced: Angel and Ricky. Angel lives alone and wishes it was fifteen years ago when buying her a drink meant anything she wanted that night was possible. Ricky lives with his mom and loves heavy metal. The two meet at karaoke and fall in love, both stuck in the past, not caring about being stuck in the '80s. Basically, the lyrics are about people who are living in the past and missing the good old days, and how they find someone who feels the same way.
