Gims, born on May 6, 1986 in Kinshasa, Congo, is a French-Congolese singer, rapper, and songwriter. He rose to fame in the early 2000s as part of the hip-hop group Sexion d’Assaut. In 2013, he launched his solo career with the release of his debut album “Subliminal,” which went on to sell over a million copies. He has since released several albums, including “Mon Coeur Avait Raison” and “Transcendance,” and has collaborated with numerous artists, including Maluma, Sting, and J Balvin. Besides music, he is also known for his fashion sense and entrepreneurship, having launched his own clothing line and eyewear brand. With a net worth estimated at over $20 million, Gims is one of the most successful Francophone musicians of his generation.
