Wu-Tang Clan is an American hip hop group formed in Staten Island, New York in 1992. The group consists of nine members, each of whom have released solo albums. Their debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) (1993), is considered to be one of the best hip hop albums of all time. The group’s unique blend of Kung Fu movies, Eastern philosophy, and gritty New York street life was not only refreshing but revolutionary. Since their debut, they have released several studio albums, including Wu-Tang Forever (1997) and The W (2000). The group has also ventured into television and film, including the critically acclaimed Wu-Tang: An American Saga on Hulu in 2019. Despite various disputes and personal struggles over the years, Wu-Tang Clan continues to be one of the most important and influential hip hop groups in history.
