Djonga is a Brazilian rapper, singer and composer born in Belo Horizonte. He began his musical career in 2016 with the debut album “Heresia” and gained recognition with the release of “O Menino Que Queria Ser Deus” in 2018. He is known for his socially conscious lyrics and ability to mix different genres such as rap, trap, and Brazilian funk. In 2019, he won the Brazilian MTV Europe Music Award for Best Brazilian Act. Djonga’s most recent album, “Histórias da Minha Área”, was released in 2020 and reached the top of Brazilian music charts. With a large following in Brazil, Djonga is considered one of the most important names in Brazilian rap and an icon of the new generation of Brazilian music.
