Mazzy Star is an American alternative rock band formed in 1989 in Santa Monica, California. The band consists of singer Hope Sandoval and guitarist David Roback, and is known for its dreamy, psychedelic sound. Their breakthrough album, “So Tonight That I Might See,” was released in 1993 and included the hit single “Fade Into You.” Despite a hiatus from 1997-2011, the band has continued to release albums and tour, with their most recent album “Still” released in 2018. Mazzy Star’s music has been praised for its haunting, atmospheric quality and has influenced many of today’s indie rock acts.
