He engages in a risky behavior, like licking a cigarette before lighting it, because he believes that people with true emotions are the ones who suffer the most. When asked again who he is trying to impress, he tells them to guess again. He asks his partner what she has done with her life and admits that he still misses her, but asks her to stop asking him for directions because he is lost too.
