He gained initial recognition as a part of the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, before starting his solo career in 2011. His debut solo album, “Based on a T.R.U. Story” peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200. He has since released multiple studio albums, mixtapes and collaborated with high-profile artists such as Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Drake. 2 Chainz is known for his unique style and delivery, often incorporating colorful and humorous lyrics. He has also ventured into business, launching his own clothing line, and opened a seafood restaurant in Atlanta called “Escobar Restaurant and Tapas”. 2 Chainz has received multiple Grammy nominations for his work and is regarded as one of the most prominent figures in contemporary hip-hop culture.
