50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, grew up in Queens, New York, where he became involved in the drug trade at a young age. After being arrested multiple times and surviving a shooting, he turned his focus to music, releasing the mixtape “Guess Who’s Back?” in 2002. He signed with Eminem’s Shady Records and Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment, releasing his debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” in 2003, which went on to sell over 10 million copies. He has since released numerous albums, acted in films and television shows, and launched successful business ventures such as G-Unit Clothing and SMS Audio headphones. He remains one of the most successful and influential figures in hip-hop music today.
