Abba was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972. Comprising of members Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, they quickly rose to international fame with hits like “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia,” and “Take a Chance on Me.” Their music was often characterized by catchy melodies, harmonies, and upbeat rhythms. They remained popular throughout the 1970s and early 1980s before disbanding in 1983. Despite the group’s dissolution, their music remained popular and has been reimagined in numerous musicals and films, including the hit “Mamma Mia!” franchise. Today, Abba remains one of the most iconic and influential pop groups in musical history.
