Aerosmith formed in 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts and became one of the best-selling American rock bands of all time, with Steven Tyler on vocals, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford on guitar, Tom Hamilton on bass, and Joey Kramer on drums. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1973 and the band went on to release several hit albums throughout the 70s and 80s, including Toys in the Attic and Permanent Vacation. Known for their high-energy live performances and popular tracks such as “Dream On” and “Walk this Way,” Aerosmith has won four Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Despite personal struggles and lineup changes, the band has continued to perform and record new music, including their latest album, 2012’s Music from Another Dimension!
