Andrés Calamaro, born on August 22, 1961 in Buenos Aires, is an Argentine singer, songwriter, and musician. He began his career as a drummer for several bands before joining the influential group Los Abuelos de la Nada. In the 1980s, he embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album “Hotel Calamaro” in 1984. He has since released numerous successful albums such as “Alta Suciedad” and “Honestidad Brutal” and collaborated with artists such as Charly García and Fito Páez. Calamaro has won countless awards, including multiple Latin Grammy Awards and is considered one of the most important figures in Latin rock. He continues to tour and release music to this day, with his latest album being “Dios los Cría”.
