Babyshambles is an indie rock band from London, England, formed in 2003 by the infamous frontman Pete Doherty after the split of The Libertines. The band consists of Doherty on vocals/guitar, Drew McConnell on bass, Adam Ficek on drums and Mick Whitnall on lead guitar. Their debut album, “Down in Albion,” was released in 2005 to critical acclaim, followed by “Shotter’s Nation” in 2007. The band’s musical style is a mix of punk rock and reggae with a heavy dose of poetic lyrics. Despite their success, the band has had difficulties, with Doherty’s ongoing struggles with substance abuse leading to cancelled shows and postponed album releases. Despite this, Babyshambles remains a beloved and influential figure in the British indie rock scene and continues to tour and record to this day, with their most recent album “Sequel to the Prequel” released in 2013.
