Billy Currington was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1973. He started pursuing music in his early twenties and moved to Nashville in 1996. In 2003, he signed with Mercury Records and released his debut album, which featured his first hit single, “Walk a Little Straighter.” Billy continued to release successful albums throughout the 2000s, with hits such as “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” and “People Are Crazy.” He has won several awards, including the CMA Award for Male Vocalist of the Year in 2010. Billy continues to tour and release music, and is known for his smooth vocals and laid-back style.
