Black Lips formed in Georgia in 1999 and are known for their garage punk sound and wild live performances. The original lineup consisted of Cole Alexander, Jared Swilley, Ben Eberbaugh, and Joe Bradley, with current members Jack Hines and Oakley Munson joining later. They released their debut album in 2003 and have since put out nine studio albums and collaborated with artists such as Mark Ronson and Kesha. The band has gained a reputation for their controversial antics on stage, which have included urinating and vomiting, and have been banned from multiple venues around the world. Despite their controversial performances, Black Lips have become a beloved fixture in the garage rock scene and continue to tour extensively.
