Bon Jovi is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey. The band’s frontman and namesake, Jon Bon Jovi, began writing and performing music in his early teens. The band found commercial success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hit songs such as “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” and “Bed of Roses.” Bon Jovi has sold over 130 million records worldwide and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years but has continued to tour and record new music. In addition to music, Jon Bon Jovi is also involved in philanthropy and has founded the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, which works to combat issues of poverty and homelessness.
