Cali Life Style, also known as Cali Luv or CLS, is a Latin hip-hop group hailing from Southern California. Formed in 1992, the group quickly gained popularity for their unique blend of West Coast rap with Latin influences. Comprised of rapper T-Dre, singer Wino and DJ Tigre, Cali Life Style became pioneers of the Chicano rap movement. They released their debut album “Mexican Invasion” in 1996, which received critical acclaim and garnered a loyal fan base. Their sophomore album “To the Urban Renaissance” followed in 1998, solidifying their place in the rap scene. Cali Life Style’s music is characterized by catchy hooks, smooth beats and lyrics that touch on themes of city life, cultural pride and partying. They continue to perform and release music to this day, cementing their status as cultural icons in the realm of West Coast Chicano rap.
