Deathstars is a Swedish gothic metal band formed in 2000. The band consists of Whiplasher Bernadotte (lead vocals), Skinny Disco (bass guitar, backing vocals), Nightmare Industries (guitar, keyboards, programming, backing vocals), Cat Casino (guitar, backing vocals), and Vice (drums). Their music combines elements of industrial, gothic rock, and metal. They released their debut album, Synthetic Generation, in 2002, which was well received by both fans and critics. Throughout their career, the band has toured extensively and gained a loyal following with their dark and theatrical live performances. Some of their most popular songs include “Cyanide,” “Blitzkrieg,” and “Tongues.” Despite several line-up changes, Deathstars continues to create music that is both heavy and melodic, solidifying their place in the gothic metal genre.
