Donnie McClurkin is a gospel singer, minister, songwriter, and actor born on November 9, 1959, in Copiague, New York. Raised in a religious household, he started performing as a young boy and later moved to Chicago, where he became the assistant pastor of a church while singing in a choir. He released his first album, named Donnie McClurkin, in 1996, which was a success. His second album, Live in London and More… was released a year later and earned him his first Grammy. Throughout his career, he has received several awards for his work in music, ministry, and humanitarian causes. In addition to music, he has acted in movies and TV shows and also hosts The Donnie McClurkin Show, a syndicated radio program. He continues to perform and is actively involved in his church community.
