Fidlar is an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009. The band’s name is an acronym for “Fuck It Dog, Life’s a Risk,” a skateboarding mantra from the 1980s. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Zac Carper, guitarist/vocalist Elvis Kuehn, bassist Brandon Schwartzel, and drummer Max Kuehn. Initially gaining attention on the DIY punk scene, Fidlar released their debut self-titled album in 2013. The record was well-received and helped them gain further mainstream attention. The band has since released three more albums, toured extensively both nationally and internationally, and gained a reputation for their high-energy live shows and party anthems. Fidlar’s music is characterized by its catchy, melodic hooks, raw sound, and irreverent lyrics often dealing with partying, drug use, relationships, and the struggles of youth. Their music has been described as a mix of garage rock, punk, and pop.
