Ghostemane, born Eric Whitney in 1991, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Florida. He began his music career as a member of the hardcore punk band Nemesis, before transitioning to alternative hip-hop. His music combines elements of rap, metal, punk, and industrial, and often deals with themes of mental health, death, and existentialism. His breakthrough came in 2016 with his album “Blackmage,” which was followed by a series of critically acclaimed releases, including “Hexada,” “N/O/I/S/E,” and “Anti-Icon.” In addition to his solo career, he has collaborated with a number of artists, including ZillaKami, Pouya, and Getter. He has also gained a significant following for his visually striking music videos and eccentric fashion sense. Ghostemane continues to push the boundaries of hip-hop and alternative music, and has become a prominent figure in the underground scene.
