Harvey Danger was a Seattle-based alternative rock band formed in 1992. Their breakthrough hit single “Flagpole Sitta” from their debut album “Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone?” peaked at number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1998. The band had a loyal following in the Pacific Northwest and released three more albums before disbanding in 2009. Frontman Sean Nelson went on to pursue a solo career, while guitarist Jeff Lin and drummer Evan Sult formed the band The Long Winters. Despite their short-lived success, Harvey Danger left a lasting impact on the Seattle music scene and their song “Flagpole Sitta” remains a beloved alternative rock anthem.
