K-Paz De La Sierra was a Mexican band that emerged from Sinaloa in 2002, led by vocalist Sergio Gómez. They became known for their distinctive Duranguense style, combining traditional Mexican music with modern arrangements. The band gained international recognition with their hit song “Mi Credo” in 2006, which became a chart-topping success. However, their success was cut short in 2007 when Gómez was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting. The band continued on with new vocalists, but the loss of Gómez deeply affected their sound and success. K-Paz De La Sierra continued to release albums and tour until their official disbandment in 2011. They remain an important act in the history of regional Mexican music.
