Born on April 24, 1995, in Oakland, California, she began her music career at a young age, joining the group Poplyfe in 2011 and reaching the finals of America’s Got Talent. After leaving the group, Kehlani pursued a solo career, releasing her first mixtape, “Cloud 19,” in 2014. The mixtape garnered critical acclaim and led to her signing with Atlantic Records.
