Kendrick Lamar is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Compton, California. He first gained major attention with his critically acclaimed mixtape, “Overly Dedicated” in 2010. He followed this with his debut studio album, “Section.80” in 2011, which quickly established him as one of the most promising young talents in hip-hop. Lamar’s breakthrough album, “good kid, m.A.A.d city” was released in 2012, which went on to become a classic. Subsequently, his next two albums, “To Pimp a Butterfly” and “DAMN.” are both considered to be some of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, with the latter winning the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
