La Adictiva Banda San José de Mesillas is a Mexican Banda group that originated in Sinaloa. Founded in 1990, the group began playing in local bars and theaters before gaining national attention in 1997 with their hit song “Nada Iguales”. Over the years, members have come and gone, including the group’s founder, José Manuel López Castro, who passed away in 2012. Today, the band features vocalists such as Jorge Medina and Isaac Salas, as well as a rotating cast of musicians. La Adictiva Banda San José de Mesillas has become known for their unique blend of traditional Mexican Banda styles with modern influences, resulting in a distinctive sound that has gained them a loyal following in both Mexico and the United States. They have received numerous awards, and have released multiple albums, including their most recent, “La Casa de la Banda” in 2019.
