The band’s name is derived from a species of African fly that spreads sleeping sickness, which is also used as a metaphor for the band’s music infecting people with its catchy beats. La Mosca Tse-Tse gained international recognition with their hit song “Para no verte más,” which became an anthem for people going through heartbreak. The band has also collaborated with other artists, including Los Auténticos Decadentes and Marciano Cantero from Los Enanitos Verdes.
