Little Mix is a British girl group that was formed in 2011 during the eighth season of The X Factor UK. The group consists of members Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall. After winning the competition, Little Mix released their debut single, “Cannonball,” which topped the charts in the UK and Ireland. They have since released six albums, with their most recent being “Confetti” in 2020. The group has won numerous awards, including two Brit Awards and an MTV Europe Music Award. They are known for their empowering lyrics and messages of female empowerment, and have become one of the most successful girl groups in history, with over 50 million records sold worldwide. Little Mix has also been involved in various philanthropic efforts, supporting causes such as mental health awareness and LGBT rights. In December 2020, Jesy Nelson announced her departure from the group, but the remaining members have vowed to continue making music together.
