Los Caminantes is a Mexican band formed in 1975 by brothers Agustín and Brígido Lara. Originally from Mexicali, they began as a trio playing traditional Mexican music. Over the years, they added more members and evolved their sound to include romantic ballads and cumbia-inspired tunes. Their 1989 hit “Supe Perder” launched them to international fame and led to successful tours throughout Latin America and the United States. They have released over 50 albums and won numerous awards, including a Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. Despite changes in the band’s lineup over the years, the Lara brothers remain at the core of the group and continue to produce popular music. Their enduring career has made them one of the most beloved and respected bands in the Latin music scene.
