María José was born in Mexico City in 1985. She grew up in a musical family and started singing at a young age. She studied music and voice at the National Conservatory of Music and later attended Berklee College of Music on a scholarship. After graduating, she worked as a session singer and performed in various music festivals. In 2010, she released her debut album, which received critical acclaim and led to her being nominated for several music awards. She has since released three more albums and has become a major figure in the Latin music scene. In addition to her music career, she is also a philanthropist and is involved with several organizations that help provide music education to underprivileged youth.
