Martin Garrix was born on May 14, 1996, in Amstelveen, Netherlands. He started making music at the young age of 16 and became famous for his hit song “Animals” in 2013. Garrix has won numerous awards including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Electronic Act an incredible three times. He also performed at the 2018 Winter Olympics closing ceremony in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and was named DJ Mag’s number one DJ in the world in both 2016 and 2017. Garrix is known for his high-energy performances and has headlined festivals such as Tomorrowland and Coachella.
