Matchbook Romance is an American rock band hailing from Poughkeepsie, New York. Formed in 1997, the band consists of members Andrew Jordan on vocals and guitar, Ryan DePaolo on drums, Ryan Kienle on bass, and Aaron Stern on guitar. They gained popularity in the early 2000s with their emo sound and heartfelt lyrics. They released their debut album “Stories and Alibis” in 2003, which featured the hit single “My Eyes Burn”. This success was followed by the release of their second album, “Voices,” in 2006. Although they faced lineup changes and a hiatus, Matchbook Romance continued to perform and released their third album, “MONSTERS”, in 2008. The band’s unique blend of emotional, hard-hitting rock music has made them a beloved staple in the emo genre.
