Maverick City Music is a contemporary worship music collective that was founded in 2018 by Tony Brown and Jonathan Jay. Comprising of a diverse group of singers, songwriters and musicians from around the world, the group is known for their collaborative and organic approach to creating music that fuses gospel, soul, R&B and pop. They released their first album, Maverick City Vol. 1, in 2019, which received critical acclaim and charted on several Billboard lists. Since then, the collective has released several more albums, including Vol. 2 & 3, Maya, Tribl I, and Jubilee nominated “Old Church Basement”. Continuously breaking new ground in the world of Christian music, Maverick City Music has become a beacon of hope and inspiration, drawing people from various backgrounds to experience the power of God’s transformative love.
