Metro Boomin, born Leland Tyler Wayne in St. Louis, Missouri in 1993, is a Grammy-nominated producer, songwriter, and DJ. He began producing music at the age of 13 and gained recognition for his work with rapper Future. In 2015, he released his debut mixtape, “19 & Boomin,” which featured collaborations with artists such as Young Thug and Gucci Mane. Metro Boomin has since become one of the most sought-after producers in the industry, working with artists such as Drake, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage. He has also won multiple awards, including a BET Hip Hop Award and a BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Award. Metro Boomin is known for his signature tagline, “If Young Metro don’t trust you, I’m gon’ shoot you,” which appears on many of his productions.
