Moby, born Richard Melville Hall in 1965, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. Raised in New York, he began his career as a DJ before releasing his debut album, “Moby,” in 1992. He gained widespread recognition with his fifth studio album, “Play,” which featured the hit singles “Porcelain” and “Natural Blues.” Over the years, Moby has released numerous successful albums, including “18,” “Hotel,” and “Wait for Me.” He is also an activist, supporting animal rights and environmental causes. In addition to music, Moby has written multiple books, including his memoir, “Porcelain: A Memoir.” His contributions to the music industry have earned him critical acclaim and multiple awards, including four Grammy nominations.
