Nicky Jam was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on March 17, 1981. His real name is Nick Rivera Caminero. At the age of ten, he moved to Puerto Rico where he found his love for music and began performing with the reggaeton group, Daddy Yankee. His solo career began in 2001 with the release of his album, “Haciendo Escante”. In 2007, he struggled with drug addiction, but later made a comeback with hits like “El Perdón” and “Hasta el Amanecer”. He has won numerous awards for his music, including Latin Grammy Awards and Billboard Latin Music Awards. He has also acted in films such as “xXx: Return of Xander Cage”. Today, he is one of the most well-known and successful reggaeton artists in the world.
