PNL, short for Peace N’ Lovés, is a French rap duo composed of two brothers Tarik and Nabil Andrieu. Born in 1986 and 1989 in Corbeil-Essonnes, a suburb of Paris, they started their music career as members of the group Corbeau Noir. In 2014, they emerged as PNL and released their first album Le Monde Chico, which gained huge popularity and led to numerous award nominations. Their second album Dans La Legende was released in 2016 and sold over a million copies within a week. The duo’s unique style of music blends hip-hop, pop, and electronic music, and their introspective lyrics reflect their personal experiences growing up in a working-class neighborhood. Despite mainly rapping in French, PNL’s music has gained a substantial following in countries with French-speaking populations such as Belgium, Canada, and Switzerland. Their success has earned them critical acclaim, a loyal fan base, and numerous accolades, cementing their status as one of the most prominent French music acts of the current generation.
