Popcaan, born Andrae Hugh Sutherland in 1988 in St. Thomas, Jamaica, is a Reggae and Dancehall artist. He gained popularity in 2010 with his debut album “Vanquish.” Popcaan was discovered by Vybz Kartel, and he was part of his Portmore Empire for many years. He released his debut single “Clarks” in 2010 which was an international success. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists like Drake, Tory Lanez, and Davido. Popcaan has received several music awards, including the MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act in 2015 and 2016. In 2019, he released his fourth album “Forever,” which reached number two on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. He continues to be a prominent figure in the Dancehall music scene with his unique vocal style and dance moves.
