Ricardo Montaner is an Argentine-Venezuelan singer and songwriter born on September 8, 1957 in Argentina. Raised in a musical family, he began his career playing in local bands before releasing his debut album in 1983. Known for his romantic ballads, Montaner has released over 20 albums and won numerous awards, including three Latin Grammy Awards. He has also been a judge on the Latin American version of The Voice. In addition to his music career, Montaner is an active philanthropist, founding the Montaner Foundation to help children in Latin America. He is married to filmmaker Marlene Rodríguez and they have five children together, all of whom are also involved in the music industry.
