Skrillex, born Sonny John Moore in 1988, is an American songwriter, DJ and electronic music producer. He began his career as the lead vocalist for the post-hardcore band From First to Last, before branching out into electronic music in 2008. Skrillex quickly gained fame with his unique blend of dubstep, electro house and other sub-genres, and won six Grammy Awards over the course of his career. He has released numerous successful albums and singles, including his debut studio album “Recess” in 2014. Skrillex is widely credited with popularizing dubstep and helping to bring electronic dance music (EDM) to the mainstream. He remains one of the most influential figures in the industry today.
