Tanya Tucker was born on October 10, 1958, in Seminole, Texas. She began singing at the age of 6 and signed her first record deal at age 13 with Columbia Records. Her breakthrough single, “Delta Dawn,” was released in 1972 and went on to become a top 10 hit. Tucker has had a successful career in country music with numerous hit songs and albums, and has won multiple awards including a Grammy and several Country Music Association Awards. She also struggled with personal challenges, including substance abuse and a tumultuous relationship with Glen Campbell. Tucker remains a beloved figure in country music and continues to tour and perform. In 2020, she released her latest album, “While I’m Livin’,” which was produced by Brandi Carlile.
