The Bangles are an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1981. Their members were Susanna Hoffs, Vicki Peterson, Debbi Peterson, and Annette Zilinskas. They gained popularity in the mid-1980s with hits like “Manic Monday” and “Walk Like an Egyptian.” Zilinskas was replaced by Michael Steele in 1983. The band disbanded in 1989 but reunited in 1999. They continue to tour and record music to this day, releasing their latest album “4” in 2020. The Bangles have been influential in the music industry and have paved the way for other female pop rock bands.
