Christopher Wallace, known by his stage name The Notorious B.I.G., was a rapper born in Brooklyn, New York in 1972. He rose to fame in the mid-90s with his debut album Ready to Die, which featured hit singles like “Juicy” and “Big Poppa”. His gritty lyrics and unique flow earned him a spot as one of the greatest rappers of all time. Unfortunately, his life was cut short in 1997 when he was fatally shot in Los Angeles. His posthumous album, Life After Death, went on to become one of the best-selling hip-hop albums of all time. Along with Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G. is often remembered as a symbol of the East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry of the 90s. Despite his untimely death, his influence on the music industry can still be felt today.
