Wesley Safadão is a Brazilian singer and songwriter born in Fortaleza in 1988. With a career that began in 2003 as part of a band, Garota Safada, Safadão evolved and formed his own band in 2015, which became known as Wesley Safadão & Garota Safada. He became widely successful with hits such as “Camarote” and “Igneja ou Barzinho.” Featured in television programs, his popularity increased, and according to the Brazilian Association of Phonographic Producers, he became one of the top earners of the year in 2016. Safadão is highly respected in Brazil’s music industry and continues to be recognized as one of the biggest names in forró and Brazilian music more generally.
