The Beach Boys - Short Biography

The Beach Boys are an American rock band that formed in 1961 in Hawthorne, California. The original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love and their friend Al Jardine. The band is known for its vocal harmonies, teenage-themed lyrics and musical ingenuity. They are one of the most influential bands of the rock era, and one of the few American rock bands to have maintained its commercial position during the British Invasion. From the beginning, Brian Wilson was the band's composer, arranger, producer and de facto leader.

"A Thing Or Two" is a track from "Friends", the fourteenth studio album by the iconic American rock band The Beach Boys. It was released on June 24, 1968 on Capitol Records. The album is distinguished by its calm and peaceful atmosphere, which contrasts with the dominant musical trends of the time. In addition, five of its twelve tracks are less than two minutes long. Unfortunately, the album sold poorly; it peaked at #126 on the Billboard charts, the band's weakest performance in the United States at the time. It did, however, reach #13 in the UK.
