The protagonist is waiting for his partner at the café. He is wearing a simple hat and coat. He will put his newspaper on the bar in front of him and she will recognize him when she arrives. If she is late, he will have a drink to pass the time. He will fold his newspaper when she arrives. They then go on a journey to see places in Paris that hold memories for them. They will see the Seine and visit their old room. They will also go elsewhere to seek fortune because it's time to do so.
