- Antoine Dominique Domino Jr. was an American pianist, singer and songwriter, known as Fats Domino.
- Domino was a rock and roll pioneer and sold over 65 million records.
- He was born in New Orleans to a French Creole family and signed with Imperial Records in 1949.
- His first single, "The Fat Man," is cited as the first rock and roll single to sell more than one million copies.
- Between 1955 and 1960, Domino had eleven Top 10 American pop hits, five of which sold over a million copies and were certified gold.
