- "Breathe" is a song by the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd.
- It appears on the album The Dark Side of the Moon (1973).
- The song is very quiet and gentle. It lasts about 2 minutes and 40 seconds in total.
- Although it stands alone on the vinyl record, it has been combined with Speak to Me on the CD version because the two flow seamlessly, one leading to the other.
- The song is in E minor. It starts with 1 minute and 15 seconds of instrumental, on a very slow and floating rhythm, with David Gilmour's guitar improvisations done on a rhythm composed of the bass playing very simply, the drums adopting a simple and classic, but effective rhythm. Richard Wright simply plays the chords on the organ with some effects. A guitar riff is added to this to form a floating groove, simple, but very effective.
- The rest of the song uses the same chord base, but with the voice added.
